Your Rossmoor Band - “Just Friends”
The group "Just Friends" began performing in the Redwood Room in Rossmoor in February of 2025.
They have since built a following among Rossmoor’s residents.
“Just Friends” covers all genres, everything from the great American Songbook, to Jazz Standards, Pop, Rock, Ballroom Dance selections, Italian songs, etc.
Since the Redwood Room they have branched out to the Diablo Room, the Events Center, and this Summer, the Stanley Dollar Picnic Grounds outdoor amphitheater.
The band has deep roots in Rossmoor: three members are residents -
Terry Miller (Bassist), Walter Barr (Trumpet) and Mark Rossi (Pianist).
They had often talked about creating a group specifically for the Rossmoor community they love.
The band features saxophonist Peter Graves and drummer Eric Thompson, as well as vocalists & entertainers Leslie Darwin O’Brien & Mark Baum. The perfect fit for all of the ensemble’s engaging styles.
